Group Sessions

There will be eight small group sessions in total over the course of the day. We have found that a mixture of "dry & wet" sessions makes the day enjoyable, memorable and beneficial in terms of strengthening your application.

  • Qualities of a Doctor
  • Ethics in medicine
  • UCAS Session
  • Clinical Skills ( e.g. venepuncture, suturing, auscultation)
  • Radiology
  • ECG
  • Anatomy / Pathology
  • First-aid

Although most, if not all, of the aspects of the M&D Experience are relevant to both medicine and dentistry, there are usually some practical seminars which discuss dentistry is more detail, this may include:

  • Dental X-ray analysis
  • Structure and anatomy of the mouth using models
  • Ethical issues in dentistry
  • Life as a dentist in the community, general practice and hospital
  • Different specialisations in dentistry
